An amazing place in Smoky Lake. Owned and operated by the Metis Nation. Open to the public as a lodge housing. A lot of history on display! Staff accomodations for the Metis Crossing and the public. What an amazing place. Over the last couple weeks Nikinan was host to Breaking Bread, sponsored by Smoky Lake FCSS . Welcoming meals and our new comers with food from,Africa, India, Philipines,Ukraine,and Metis.Fantastic staff and volunteers.
